Arthropods, Arthropoda, are a phylum of invertebrate animals that are characterised by having an exoskeleton, a segmented body and especially by having jointed appendages, which gives them their name derived from the Greek word Arthropoda. It is the phylum within the animal kingdom with the largest number of described species and also the one with the largest number of individuals on planet Earth. There are many animals belonging to this group and in this audiovisual we will look at marine crustaceans.
