The San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival (CIMASUB) has opened the call for entries for its annual competition. In its 49th edition, the festival invites photographers and filmmakers from all over the world to submit their underwater photo galleries, short films and documentaries before 15 September 2025.

The selected works will be screened during CIMASUB, which will be held on 13, 14 and 15 November at the Teatro Principal in San Sebastian. This year, we will be awarding prizes worth more than 25,000 euros, including cash prizes, trips and unique experiences. The usual categories will be maintained and special awards will be added for the best work on ecological awareness, the best work on the Cantabrian Sea, as well as specific distinctions for works by women, promising young artists and special prizes from the jury.
