COMPETITION

Registration is now officially open for the CIMASUB 2026 competition, which will take place on November 12, 13, and 14. This year is no ordinary year: we are celebrating our 50th anniversary, a milestone marking half a century of passion for the sea, imagery, and outreach. Once again, we invite photographers, filmmakers, and lovers of the underwater world from across the globe to share their underwater perspectives. We are seeking works that inspire, that move us, and that bring us closer to the beauty, biodiversity, and fragility of our oceans.

The submission period will remain open until September 8, 2026, and entries may include photo galleries, short films, and documentaries. For this very special edition, we wanted to rise to the occasion of our 50th anniversary. Thanks to the support of new sponsors, CIMASUB 2026 will feature over €37,000 in prizes, reinforcing our commitment to creators. Additionally, all gold winners in each category will receive a trip as part of their prize, as will the audiovisual work winning the Ecological Awareness Award, making this edition the most ambitious to date.
