CIMASUB, in collaboration with the Real Sociedad Fundazioa, has launched a new programme designed to bring the fascinating underwater world closer to Day Centres and Residences for the Elderly. This initiative aims to offer our seniors the opportunity to explore the seabeds, learn about its biodiversity and reflect on its conservation in an accessible and enriching way.
Through underwater film screenings, participants, together with their families and carers, will be able to enjoy an experience that breaks their daily routine, turning them into divers for a day. This programme not only provides entertainment, but also strengthens the emotional well-being of the elderly, awakening emotions and creating valuable shared memories.
Our aim is to expand and strengthen this initiative in the coming years, bringing the magic of the oceans to more centres and reaching a greater number of users. This commitment is a further step towards inclusion and environmental awareness, highlighting the importance of connecting with all sectors of our society, especially those who have been pillars of our communities.
