I have always been an admirer of the cycle! Many years ago I was invited by the then president Paco Pizarro who had a photographic exhibition on the theme: Women and the sea, which was a great success with the public and critics. Every year I met Paco at the Antibes Festival where I participated in the category: Audiovisual Edition - Diaporama.
So, finally, also at the San Sebastian Film Festival, at Paco's suggestion, this prestigious and poetic category was introduced. I once won gold and double silver in his prestigious cycle. Besides giving the opportunity to express oneself with images to tell a story, beyond the number of members, I think it is an added value for their prestigious San Sebastian International Underwater Film Series.
