The Future of Coral Reefs is an urgent call for the conservation of one of the most valuable and fragile marine ecosystems on the planet. This short film explores the critical role coral reefs play in marine biodiversity and human life, providing refuge for juvenile species, absorbing carbon and protecting coastlines from erosion. However, they are under critical threat from climate change, destructive fishing and pollution. Through the work of more than 100 international experts, a global assessment of coral health is presented, highlighting the importance of immediate action to prevent their collapse and preserve the oceans for future generations.
