This slideshow immerses us in a carefully curated selection of the 100 best photographs submitted to the latest edition of the festival. Accompanied by an immersive soundtrack, the images transport us to the most fascinating corners of the underwater world and celebrate the talent of photographers from around the globe, including the creators of the award-winning works.

Notable award winners include Merche Llobera (Madrid), first prize winner and recipient of the Golden Barandilla alongside the BUCEO ANILAO Beach & Dive Resort Award (Philippines); Theo Maynier (France), second prize winner and recipient of the Silver Barandilla; and José Alberto Díaz González (Tenerife), third prize winner and recipient of the Bronze Barandilla. Recognition is also given to the commitment and ethical perspective of Theo Maynier (France), winner of the Ecological Awareness Award – IUCN SSN, for the most thought-provoking photograph; and Daniel Landa (Gipuzkoa), winner of the Cantabrian Award – ORAIN GIPUZKOA for the best gallery of the northern coastline.

The visual journey is not limited to the prize-winners; it also brings together the work of renowned international artists selected from among all those who took part in the Cimasub 2026 competition. This slideshow is a journey through diversity, creativity and environmental awareness, a tribute to the beauty of the oceans and to those who, through their cameras, invite us to protect them.
