Due to the fact that in 2018 I have been awarded with the "Denuncia Ecológica" Prize for the best Photo Gallery, we have had the opportunity to attend, together with my wife Luciana, this great CIMASUB Event.
Being from Argentina and having had to travel all the way to San Sebastian, we honestly could never have imagined what we would find so pleasantly ..... A simply perfect organization, with exhibitions and film and photographic displays of such a high level and with such an extraordinary dynamism, that made us feel sorry every time the day was over! We really had the opportunity to see the work of great professionals from different parts of the world, who showed with great knowledge the beauty of the underwater world, providing information and awareness to the viewer.
As if all this were not enough, we had the opportunity to get to know a beautiful city with wonderful people from the Donostiarra Society, worthy of being an example of all that is good in a Community. They have given us such a warm welcome that our departure from San Sebastian has been with some regret, knowing that we were leaving behind a new family of friends, and I assure you that this is not a compliment.
In addition to these phenomenal cinematographic and photographic presentations, on Saturday a remarkable Conference had been held at the Aquarium of Donostia where different topics related to the environment were discussed, with the aim of informing the population of the deterioration that the water bodies of the world and the planet in general are suffering. A conference of such quality and professionalism on the part of the speakers that it was worthy of being listened to by all the inhabitants of the planet, since it is a problem that concerns us all.
Of course, this is the subject that most concerns and interests me, so I presented my photo gallery again this year; with the great satisfaction and joy of having been given the honour, for the second consecutive year, of being the winner of the "Ecological Denunciation" Award for the best Photo Gallery.
I can only say THANK YOU to David Sánchez Carretero and all those wonderful people who make CIMASUB the Big Event of the year for sea lovers. It will be a pleasure to share this incredible experience in San Sebastian again and I recommend everyone who can attend not to miss it because you will surely want to come back!
