Life on Earth is believed to have originated in volcanic hot springs. White fumaroles and black fumaroles still exist today, especially in the deep sea. In a few places on the planet, volcanic hot springs are accessible to divers. Like those of the deep sea, they constitute an important habitat and attract a universe of marine life, often very camouflaged or extremely tiny. Immerse yourself in a world of sponge-like fish, crabs adorned with anemones, mysterious ornate ghost pipefish and more creatures of the deep. All the footage in this short film was shot around a hot spring in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
