We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the people who took part in the competition for the 48th edition of the Donostia-San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival, which will be held on 21, 22 and 23 November at the Teatro Principal. - FRANCISCO PIZARRO AWARD: Enrique Talledo. Tribute from SUBACUÁTICAS REAL SOCIEDAD by awarding him the Francisco Pizarro Prize. Enrique, an outstanding underwater photographer and videographer, has captured the biodiversity and fragility of marine ecosystems, promoting ocean conservation. His internationally recognised work combines art and science, seeking to raise awareness of marine protection in the face of current threats.
- ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: A Truly Plastic Neutral Fishery - Pepe Brix (Portugal). ORAIN GIPUZKOA Award for the most awareness-raising work, with white railing + 300€.
- JOURNALISTIC WORK: Alien Contact - Rick Rosenthal (United States). DIARIO VASCO Prize for the best journalistic report, with a white banister + €100.
