First of all, we would like to thank all the photographers and videographers who have participated in the 46th edition of the International Underwater Film Series of San Sebastián. You are the ones who make it possible for CIMASUB to be an event of unbeatable variety and quality every year. You make the underwater world known and raise awareness of respect and care for our seas and oceans.  Congratulations to all the winners, who have produced work of magnificent quality and we are proud, once again, to be able to present at CIMASUB 2022 material produced with such talent, love and care.

Below we present the list of winners of CIMASUB 2022, the 46th edition of the San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival, which will be held on 24, 25 and 26 November 2022:

DOCUMENTARIES

• Salvar Tenerife – Felipe Ravina Olivares (Canary Islands). 1st prize, with golden banister + Txapela + REAL SOCIEDAD FUNDAZIOA Prize of 1.000€ + S.M.Y. Prize. ONDINA Cruise in Indonesia + 50% companion (valued at 5.775€).
• Sea of Legends - Pierangelo Pirak, Morgan Maugeri (Italy). 2nd prize, with silver railing + 200€.
• Mission Euridice - Marco and Andrea Spinelli (Italy). 3rd prize, with bronze rail + 100€.

SHORT FILMS WITH VOICE-OVER

• Malpelo: Mountain of Sharks - Kevin Mannens (United States). 1st prize for the best video with voice-over, M.Y. Award. OCEANIC with golden banister + Cruise in Indonesia + 50% companion (valued at 5.445€).
• Tiger (Shark) King - Clayton Conn (Estados Unidos). 2nd prize, with silver rail + 200€.
• What Makes Them Smile… - John van Lent (Netherland). 3rd prize, with bronze rail + 100€.

MUSIC SHORT FILMS

• Give it a try - Víctor Sánchez Sayago (Catalonia). 1st prize for the best music video, DONOSTIA KULTURA Award with golden handrail + 500€.
• Reservas Marinas - Felipe Ravina Olivares (Canary Islands). 2nd prize, with silver railing + 200€.
• Galapagos - Olivier Bourgeois (Andorra). 3rd prize, with bronze railing + 100€.

SPECIAL PRIZES (VIDEO):

• FRANCISCO PIZARRO AWARD: Roge Blasco. In this edition, in which Roge has announced his professional retirement, the organising team of Subacuáticas Real Sociedad wants to return the affection that he has given us during all these years by awarding him the Francisco Pizarro Prize.
  
• CANTABRICO: Una visión diferente - Andoni Asenjo Estebanez (Bizkaia). CRUSOE TREASURE Award for the best work carried out in the Cantabrian Sea, with white railing + 400€.
• ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS: Salvar Tenerife – Felipe Ravina Olivares (Canary Islands). AQUARIUM DONOSTIA Award for the most awareness-raising work, with a white banister + 400€.
• WOMAN VIDEOGRAPHER: Two days in Paradise - Noémie Stroh (France). AOLDE RADIO Award for the best work by a woman, with white banister.
• YOUNG PROMISE: Under The Surface - Galang Wahyu Efesus (Indonesia). BARCO MUSEO ECOACTIVO MATER Award for the best youth work, with white railing.
• SPECIAL MENTIONS OF THE JURY:

• CANTÁBRICO: Iñaki Alcalde Ayerbe (Gipuzkoa). ORAIN GIPUZKOA prize for the best gallery in the Cantabrian Sea, with white railing + 200€.
• ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS: Aldo Gustavo Galante (Argentina). DIARIO VASCO Award to the most conscientious gallery, with white railing + 200€.
