CIMASUB in ONDARROA on the boat MATER within the campaign "ZERO WASTE IN WATER 2021"

"The best waste, the one that is not generated". With this slogan starts this campaign, in which CIMASUB participates, for the first time, collaborating with a screening session at 22:00h. in the Ecoactive Museum Ship MATER while it remains docked in the fishing port of ONDARROA.

The MATER presents the environmental awareness campaign ZERO WASTE IN THE WATER 2021 which, once again, will travel along the Basque Coast during the month of July with the collaboration of various administrations and entities.

This campaign aims to bring citizens closer to and involve them in solving environmental problems by focusing on marine litter. Within the framework of the health crisis derived from COVID-19, this problem is being accentuated, seriously affecting natural ecosystems and, consequently, people's health.

ZERO WASTE IN THE WATER tries to make this problem visible by contributing to generate a process of reflection and search for solutions with activities open to participation in the different ports of call:

• Hondarribia from 2 to 4 July.
• Getaria from 5 to 7 July
• Ondarroa from 8 to 10 July (CIMASUB projections on the 9th)
• Bermeo from 11th to 13th July
• Portugalete from 14th to 16th July
• Bilbo from 17th to 19th July
• Mutriku from 20th to 22nd July
• Pasaia from 23rd to 25th July

For all these reasons, we would like to invite you to take part in the many activities throughout these ports: guided tours of the ship-museum, exhibitions at the port, marine litter collections, meetings, screenings... a whole sea of possibilities.
