The CIMASUB Tour 25/26 is now entering the final stretch of its itinerary. Before giving way to a new edition of the Tour, which will begin shortly, underwater film and photography will come to Zumaia and Tolosa in October, featuring screenings, educational activities for schoolchildren, and an underwater photography exhibition.
The first stop of the month will be Zumaia, where the public can enjoy an underwater film screening on October 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Aita Mari Antzokia. This is an opportunity to discover, through images, some of the landscapes and creatures hidden beneath the sea’s surface.
The following day, October 8 at 10:00 a.m., CIMASUB will bring its educational program to local schoolchildren with a new session of Txikiziklo Submarino, also at Aita Mari Antzokia. The activity combines underwater film with an informative talk in which young people can learn more about the state of our seas and reflect on the importance of caring for and protecting them.
In addition, Zumaia will host an underwater photography exhibition during this time. The exhibition will be open from September 28 to October 12 in the Oxford Room at Alondegia, offering the public a selection of images that reveal the beauty and diversity of the underwater world.

The tour will continue in Tolosa, where two events will be held at Leidor Antzokia on October 21.
In the morning, at 10:00 a.m., there will be another session of Txikiziklo Submarino aimed at local schools. Students will have the opportunity to explore the underwater world through film and an informative talk about our oceans and the importance of conserving them.
In the evening, at 7:00 p.m., it will be the general public’s turn with a screening of underwater films. As a new feature this year, the screening will take place at the Leidor Antzokia, after having been held at the Topic on previous occasions. The audience will thus be able to enjoy a new selection of images from the underwater world and discover, through film, the beauty and diversity of our seas.
The CIMASUB in Tolosa will also feature AZTERTU, the Basque Government’s environmental education program for citizens. Before the screening, AZTERTU will set up an information booth with an interactive activity open to the public, introducing environmental education and care for our environment in an engaging way. This collaboration reinforces CIMASUB’s commitment to raising awareness and protecting the environment.
With these activities, the CIMASUB Tour 25/26 is drawing to a close after another tour of various towns, bringing underwater film, photography, and outreach to audiences of all ages. Zumaia and Tolosa will be its final stops before CIMASUB sets out again with a new edition of the Tour.
