Talk "Diving among the rubbish" this Tuesday at Tabakalera
The talk will take place this Tuesday 23rd March, at 19:30 in the Central Plaza on the 4th floor of Tabakalera in Donostia - San Sebastián. The conference will be given by the CIMASUB team and organised by the Catalina de Erauso Art Club in collaboration with Aulas Kutxa Kultur. DIVING AMONG RUBBISH
The conference will consist of two parts.
The first is the screening of the documentary "Hondar 2050" by Cesare Maglioni (Award for the best documentary with ecological denunciation in the 42nd edition of the Donostia International Underwater Film Cycle).
The second is a talk given by Luis Martínez Artola, a member of the Underwater Activities Section of the Royal Society, diving instructor and nature lover. A presentation in first person, to transmit from the experience of a diver what we are living day by day with the rubbish that reaches our seas. Not from the point of view of a specialist in pollution, but from that of a practising diver who is concerned about what he sees and knows...
The origin, characteristics and impact of rubbish in the sea.
Yesterday, memories, archaeology.
Current concerns.
Remedies and solutions, today and tomorrow.
Some optimism for the future.
