CIMASUB participates for the first time in the GNatZinema Festival, with the documentary "Salvar Tenerife".
Yesterday, for the first time, CIMASUB had the honour of being part of the GnatZinema Festival (Nature and Environment Film Festival of Gipuzkoa), which this year celebrated its 3rd edition, and from the organisation of CIMASUB we hope that this collaboration will have a long life and last for many years.
GnatZinema, organised by the Department of the Environment of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, offers 9 municipalities the opportunity to get closer to nature and the environment through cinema screens. A total symbiosis with our festival, sharing totally twin objectives.
The Aquarium was the venue where we were able to screen the Golden Rail winner documentary in our last edition of the International Underwater Film Series, "Salvar Tenerife". Due to health problems, in the end we could not count on the presence in Donostia of its author Felipe Ravina, but we were able to see a presentation on screen in which he briefly explained this great work. The documentary was very applauded and positively valued by the large audience.
Following the script of the exhibition CLIMATE CHANGE, HOW TO AVOID A GLOBAL COLLAPSE, the selection of films in this edition aims, on the one hand, to try to give an answer to this "how", showing testimonies, documentaries, examples of how in many parts of the planet people, groups, associations, companies, governments... are trying in their daily lives to deal with this collapse from different areas.
However, Gnaturaldia has always paid special attention to the RELATIONSHIP OF HUMAN BEINGS WITH NATURE, to show that the connection with nature is what will make us feel that we are part of the planet and thus love and respect the nature that surrounds us. Also in this edition, we want to show the public the experiences of people who have a special relationship with nature, each in their own way.
