Enrique Talledo and David Sánchez participate in the Environmental Communication School 2023
The University of the Basque Country (UPV) and the environmental agency IHOBE are proud to announce the upcoming "School of Environmental Communication 2023", which will take place within the framework of the summer courses at the emblematic Miramar Palace. The event, focused on the theme "How to communicate environmental issues with and for young people", aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among the younger generation.
Next 7th September at 16:00h. we will be part of the summer courses.
The school will feature a programme of activities that will include two captivating talks by renowned experts in the field. Enrique Talledo Ruiz, documentary filmmaker and renowned underwater photographer, will join as a speaker to share his extensive experience and knowledge in communicating environmental issues. Through his fascinating stories and captivating images, Ruiz will seek to inspire young people to take action and protect the environment.
In addition, attendees will have the privilege of hearing from the director of the Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Series, CIMASUB, David Sánchez Carretero, who will provide a unique perspective on the importance of communication in raising environmental awareness. Carretero, a passionate advocate of underwater imaging and sustainability, will share effective strategies for involving young people in the protection of nature and the fight against climate change.
Between them, they will tell us about the experience of our event from the inside as organisers and from the outside as award-winning participants. It will surely provide a valuable and enriching perspective on environmental communication.
A highlight of the event will be the photo exhibition accompanying the presentations. Attendees will be able to enjoy an impressive selection of stunning images from their exciting underwater expeditions. The exhibition, which will be open to the public during the two weeks of the courses, aims to move and raise awareness through the power of images.
The "School of Environmental Communication 2023" represents a unique opportunity to spread a crucial message to the younger generation: caring for the environment is a shared and urgent responsibility. By combining experience, knowledge and art, it is hoped that this event will inspire young people to become agents of change and active defenders of the planet.
