CIMASUB, the Donostia-San Sebastián International Underwater Film Series, returns to the Teatro Principal for its 46th edition. On the 24th, 25th and 26th of November at 19:00h. with free admission, numerous fans of the underwater world and photographers and videographers from all over the world will gather in the capital of underwater cinema, who, driven by their passion for the sea, all contribute together to show both the beauty of the oceans and their degradation, placing special emphasis on the pressure that we humans exert on an environment that is vital for life as a whole.
At a time of special importance for the future of humanity, when time is already running against us, the slogan "Now or never" is a desperate cry for immediate action to change our way of thinking and our habits. The aim is to raise awareness of the real situation of the oceans and the problems that invade them, without neglecting the wonders hidden in the seabed, many of which are still undiscovered.
More than two hundred and fifty works of exceptional quality from eighty nationalities have been submitted to CIMASUB. All of them are competing to win the gold, silver or bronze railing, among other trophies, in a final awards gala that promises, once again this year, to thrill everyone who wants to come to the Teatro Principal.
The event is organised by Subacuáticas Real Sociedad and its aim is to publicise the underwater world and raise awareness of respect and care for our seas and oceans through the dissemination of audiovisual works. CIMASUB is the channel of communication between the ambassadors of the Sea, underwater photographers and videographers, and the thousands of people who visit the cinemas where this international event is held every year.
All thanks to the organisation of Subacuáticas Real Sociedad. To our sponsors: Real Sociedad Fundazioa, Diario Vasco, Aquarium Donostia, BRAI Kantauri, Bodegas Crusoe Treasure.
