One more year the underwater Txikiziklo creates new ambassadors of the sea
Another year in which we have had more than 700 children in the auditorium of the Aquarium to show them the bottom of the sea and what it hides. For 5 days we have explained to them the serious situation they are experiencing, but above all we have shown them that we can all help to solve it.
Twelve schools came to enjoy the TXIKICICLO in San Sebastian. And to this figure we can add another thousand students who did the same in other towns in Gipuzkoa. TXIKICICLO continues rowing to reach out to the youngest children and turn them into ambassadors and caretakers of our sea.
The aim is to make them aware of the environmental situation and to develop attitudes of healthy and responsible consumption, and of respect and care for the environment, in order to participate responsibly in its management. To work on personal responsibility and decision-making about the impact on the planet in our daily lives. Make personal and collective decisions based on scientific knowledge.
Screenings, talk and prize draw:
Screening of short films related to the current situation of the sea and how we must act to protect it. The aim is to raise awareness of the seabed and teach people to respect and care for it.
Two talks, the first on cetaceans and the second on the problem of climate change and above all on the solutions we have in our hands to solve such a serious situation. All of this will be presented by professionals from the marine/underwater world from the teams of Aquarium Donostia, Gaea Elkartea and the Ecoactive Museum Ship Mater.
