Only 6 weeks left to submit your photos, short films or documentaries to CIMASUB 2021
6 weeks left to submit entries to CIMASUB 2021. The deadline for submitting entries to the 45th edition of the Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival is 15th September. Until then you can send your photographs, short films or documentaries to participate in our competition.
This year's edition has many surprises in store, with prizes worth more than €15,000. This year, as a novelty, we have divided the short film category into two options, short films with music and short films with voice-over. This way we achieve a fairer result and increase the number of prizes. We maintain the novelties of the last edition, with prizes for the best works made by women and prizes for promising young talents. And as always we repeat the call for entries for work carried out in the Cantabrian Sea and prizes for the best environmental awareness-raising work.. All of this in both photography and video. Once again, the jury reserves the right to award prizes to all those works that stand out for any reason that deserves to be awarded. We set no limits and reward talent, originality and the high technical level with which you pleasantly surprise us every year.
CIMASUB 2021 will be held on 18, 19 and 20 November 2021. From the organisation of CIMASUB we continue working to achieve our main objectives. To make the public aware of and fall in love with the beauty of the seabed and to denounce the serious situation that our planet's oceans are suffering.
We wish with all our strength to bring the best and most passionate underwater photographers and videographers in the world together again this year in San Sebastian. Them and them. We hope that this edition will be more "normal" than the last one and that we will enjoy and learn together with the best of underwater images on the big screen of the Teatro Principal, enriching days in front of the good food of San Sebastian and our wonderful city, Donostia - San Sebastian.
Thank you all for your participation. We hope that the quality of your work will surprise both the organisers and the large public that year after year comes to enjoy your wonders.
