Participation in charity event in Pamplona in support of ALS sufferers
The group “Casino Solidario” has invited Subacuáticas Real Sociedad and Cimasub to participate in a charity event in support of ALS, to be held at the Casino of Pamplona. This event, which is part of the celebration of the International Day of ALS, will be attended by Jaime Caballero and David Sánchez Carretero, directors of the short film “Un mar de posibilidades". This short film, which deals with ALS in its narrative and has Miguel Ángel Roldán as the main character, has been awarded 15 prizes in different countries in Europe, Asia and the USA.

Screening of “A Sea of Possibilities”: a short film that reflects the fight against ALS, starring Miguel Angel Roldan, who was diagnosed with this disease and is currently devoting all his effort and motivation, through his association “Saca la Lengua a la ELA”, to give visibility to the disease and raise funds to support patients and families and for research for the cure of this cruel disease.

Participants: Javier Bretos, affected by ALS Ivonne Jericó, neurologist Inma Pagola, member of the medical team Patricia Martínez, social worker María Gómara, family member and caregiver David Sánchez Carretero, author of the short film. Jaime Caballero, long distance swimmer and expert in fundraising challenges for causes such as ALS.
The event will be held under the slogan “Casino Solidario 2024: every year ELAboramos juntos una causa”, with a special focus on ANELA (Asociación Navarra de la Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica). ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that affects muscle movement and, although it does not affect the intellect or the senses, currently has no cure.
Objectives and additional activities:
The main objective is to give visibility to ALS and raise funds to support those affected and their families, as well as for research. Additional programmed activities include:
Solidarity Wine: Bottles of “Olimpia Legado de Familia” are offered at the Txoko, of which €1.5 will be donated for each one sold.
Txoko Tips: Tips will be donated to the cause.
Informative Banner: A banner will be placed on the balcony of the Casino the week before and after June 21, World ALS Day.
Closing Event: In the last quarter of the year, a day will be held with Juan Carlos Unzué, in which the proceeds will be delivered to ANELA and an acoustic concert will be offered by Javier Erro at the piano.
