From 8 November to 8 December at the AQUARIUM, the Exhibition of the best photographs submitted to this year's CIMASUB will be open, which will take us to all the underwater depths of the world and show us the most curious and striking species. All thanks to the sponsorship of AQUARIUM DONOSTIA.
Of the 38 galleries presented from all over the world, 10 of them with photographs of the Bay of Biscay, we have nearly 200 photographs. Of all these, we exhibit 23 of the best photographs submitted, highlighting of course those of the winners:
François Baelen: Golden Banister (GIPUZKOAKO FORU ALDUNDIA Award - ORAIN Gipuzkoa).
Massimo Giorgetta: Italian, Silver Banister
Eduardo Acevedo: Bronze Handrail
Daniel Landa: Best Gallery of the Cantabrian Sea (GUIF Award)
Aldo Gustavo Galante: El Argentino receives for the second consecutive year the award for the best gallery with ecological denunciation (GOBIERNO VASCO Award).
In this 43rd edition we have high level judges, who will be analysing the works presented and presenting their evaluations until the 1st of October:
Marc Casanovas, Winner of multiple Fotosub competitions, highlighting the Wildlife in 2009, Italy Acqua 2013, OWU 2013 Australia, Afpan l'Or Vert de Natura Frances 2013, GDT 2012 Germany, Champion of Catalonia 2006, 2007, 2009 and runner-up in 2008 and 2010, Silver in the championship of Spain, the Golden Turtle Wildlife Festival 2019 in Moscow, among many others.
José Luis González, World runner-up (1994, 2002), Spanish champion on numerous occasions, director of the underwater film series in Vigo.
Carlos Villoch, winner of many national and international championships and festivals.
Félix Aguado, gold, silver and bronze medals in Spanish championships and 13 times winner of the Euskadi championship, as well as winner of other national championships.
Jesús Insausti, expert and judge of photosub and member of the Real Sociedad Subacuáticas since its beginnings.
