Roge Blasco to receive the most special Cimasub award
On Saturday 26th November at 19h., the Teatro Principal will be filled with emotion at the closing gala of the Cimasub, where we will see the works awarded with the Gold, and we will attend the awards ceremony for the best works of this edition. One of these awards, the most special without a doubt, is the one that bears the name of our founder Francisco Pizarro, who in 1975 set sail with this ship called "Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia - San Sebastián" and today 46 editions later is still sailing the waters of all the seas and oceans of the planet.
This is possible thanks to the support of people like this year's recipient of the award, Roge Blasco.
A much-loved and prominent Basque journalist, specialising in travel and adventure journalism, who has published his articles in most of the Basque Country's press. He has made 13 documentaries in different countries such as Holland, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea... Director and presenter of the programme "Tierra a la vista" on TVE 2. Presenter of programmes such as "Levando anclas" or "La casa de la palabra" on Radio Euskadi, or "Doctor Livingston, supongo" on ETB2.
It was in this programme that he met Francisco Pizarro, in the early days of Cimasub. Since then, his closeness and support for our event have been very important to us, serving as a loudspeaker, with countless interviews, both with Paco Pizarro and other protagonists of the Cimasub, edition after edition.
In this edition, in which Roge has announced his retirement, the organising team of Subacuáticas Real Sociedad would like to return the affection he has given us during all these years by awarding him the Francisco Pizarro Prize.
