Rubbish clean-up day at the Mater Museo Barco Ecoactivo

Last Friday, 18th December, we were lucky enough to share a wonderful day at the Mater Museo Barco Ecoactivo, thanks to the invitation of the team that make up this great family.

We went on a fishing trip for marine litter in the Urumea river basin as part of the Plastifisharen Kostera project, together with other agents from the same basin.

12 people from different groups and associations took part in the day. Urumea Ikastola, UR KIROLAK SND, Grupo Emaus Fundación Social, UPV/EHU, Kutxa Ekogunea, together with the International Underwater Film Series, represented by our director David Sánchez Carretero and Subacuáticas Real Sociedad represented by Luis María Martínez Artola.

All the participants, together with the Mater team, worked hard to have a cleaner sea and to spread the message that we need to change our consumption habits.

Many thanks to the Mater Museo for the great work they do every day, for teaching us that a better world is possible, and for transmitting their love for our seas with such passion and dedication.
