SAN SEBASTIAN INTERNATIONAL UNDERWATER FILM FESTIVAL
The ocean comes to Pamplona and Llodio thanks to CIMASUB
The CIMASUB Tour 2026 continues throughout September with new offerings in film, photography, and underwater education. This time, Pamplona and Llodio will be the destinations where the public can discover the beauty and diversity of our seas through CIMASUB’s images.
Pamplona: Film and Photography at the Navarre Film Archive
On September 2, 3, and 4, at 7:30 p.m., the Navarre Film Archive will host three underwater film screenings featuring a selection of works from CIMASUB.
Photography will also take center stage. From August 28 to September 16, the Navarre Film Archive and Library building will host CIMASUB’s photography exhibition, an opportunity to discover some of the most astonishing landscapes and inhabitants of the underwater world.
September 22 will be dedicated to outreach activities. At 10:00 a.m., the Film Library will host a “Txikiziklo Submarino” event aimed at schools. Additionally, on September 17, CIMASUB will visit the Landazabal Day Center, where it will hold a special underwater film screening for seniors.
Llodio Dives into the Underwater World
CIMASUB will also visit Llodio, where the Llodio Casino will host two underwater film screenings on Sundays, September 13 and 20, at 6:00 p.m.
The town will also feature a CIMASUB photography exhibition from September 7 to 24 at the Lamuza Cultural Center.
Schoolchildren will also be able to explore the underwater world through the Txikiziklo event, which will take place on September 24 at the Casino de Llodio.
An invitation to look beneath the surface
Through these activities, CIMASUB continues to bring the ocean closer to different audiences and communities, using film, photography, and education to spark curiosity about the underwater world and promote its understanding and conservation.
This September, Pamplona and Llodio have a date with the ocean.
