Here we are with a new edition of CIMASUB, the 44th edition of the Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival. We sincerely hope that you are all well and that your health and the current state of alarm have respected you as much as possible. We hope that the confinement has caught you with a lot of material at home to be able to edit it and that you have been able to take advantage and enjoy the time at home.
We are pleased to announce that the deadline for submissions to CIMASUB 2020 is officially open. From today until the 15th of September 2020 you can send your photographs, short films or documentaries to participate in our competition.
We have prizes worth more than 15.000€. This year we also have new prizes for the best works made by women and prizes for promising young talents. We are also repeating the call for entries for works made in the Cantabrian Sea and prizes for the best works with ecological denouncements. All of this in both photography and video. And as always, the jury reserves the right to award prizes to all those works that stand out for any reason that deserves to be awarded. We set no limits.
CIMASUB 2020 will be held on 19, 20 and 21 November 2020. The rules established by the health authorities will be respected so that the event can take place with full guarantees of health and hygiene. We will continue to keep you informed as the dates progress and we have confirmed information. From the organisation of CIMASUB we continue to work to achieve our main objectives. To raise awareness of the beauty of the seabed and to show the current state of the planet's oceans. And to bring together in Donostia - San Sebastian the best of the underwater imaging sector.
