It is our duty to show all the rubbish we throw into the sea, and we are probably not aware that it will never disappear.
After a day of cleaning, this is what we have taken out of the sea in the GETARIA area. Cans, bottles, buckets, weights, ropes, nets, bags, and a long etcetera. And all this added to the harsh sight of some fishing discards that are thrown into the mouth of the port, among them a blue shark.
A group of volunteers from Subacuáticas Real Sociedad were surprised by the large amount of rubbish that we continue to find, despite the fact that we remove as much as we can every day on each dive. A sadly necessary but very constructive experience, which the whole group agreed to repeat every so often in order to keep our sea clean. Plastifisharen Kostera Project Are you in?
