The organising team of the Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Series, CIMASUB, is proud to announce a new milestone in our competition. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their amazing response, far exceeding last year's record. We received almost 300 entries, more than 500 stunning photographs, 84 captivating short films and 24 exciting documentaries from all corners of the globe.
This year, we are excited to invite you once again to enjoy our underwater film screenings, which will take place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of November at the Teatro Principal in Donostia - San Sebastian. Exciting photographic exhibitions will also be held throughout the city, with special attention to the one that will take place at the Aquarium during the whole month of November. Passion for the sea will be the main protagonist, and we are delighted to highlight the exceptional quality of all the works submitted.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the professionals and amateurs in the underwater audiovisual sector who, from all corners of the world, continue to send their valuable contributions to our competition. Your participation in our competition and your presentation to the public, which continues to grow year after year, is a source of great admiration and respect. This year, in all likelihood, we will surpass the attendance of 10,000 people at the CIMASUB TOUR 2023, which will end the year with 22 events in 17 different locations.
Our congratulations for your hard work and tireless effort. We wish you every success in the jury evaluations of our 47th edition of CIMASUB. During the month of October, we will reveal the list of winners in the different categories, together with the official programme containing detailed information and schedules of all screenings.
