The final gala of CIMASUB left no one indifferent. It was the most special of all the days, as we reached the end of the journey, but not before plunging, once again, into the marine universe that represents most of the planet.
The projection of the works awarded Gold in the different categories was the culmination of three days of many heartfelt emotions with the impressive works that could be seen in this edition. We end this journey with the best works of Cimasub 2022. Throughout these days, we have enjoyed 32 short films and 5 documentaries, selected from more than 250 works received, and three photographic exhibitions in the Aquarium, in Garbera and in the Kirol Etxea of the Reale Arena. In them we have seen the problem of ghost nets, mass shark fishing, the overexploitation of marine resources... But also the beauty of the seabed, with those colours and that explosion of biodiversity in perfect harmony.
The most exciting moment undoubtedly came with the prize-giving ceremony, an intimate event in which all the sensations experienced during the three days shared with the prize-winners were mixed together.
The banister of Donostia-San Sebastián, in the form of a trophy, finally reached the hands of the winners who visited Donostia from all over the world. In this edition, we were fortunate to have the presence of underwater photography and video professionals of great international prestige, including
Felipe Ravina (Canary Islands). REAL SOCIEDAD FUNDAZIOA Award and M.Y. ONDINA with Gold in documentaries and AQUARIUM Award for ecological awareness for "Salvar Tenerife". Silver in music shorts for "Marine Reserves.
