Tenerife and Bilbao will host new sessions of underwater cinema. CIMASUB continues its journey in June.
The International Underwater Film Festival (CIMASUB) continues to immerse itself in new scenarios during the month of June, bringing the beauty and fragility of the underwater world to audiences of all ages. This month, Tenerife and Bilbao will be the venues for our screenings and activities, reaffirming our commitment to environmental awareness and oceanic culture.
Tenerife, 4 and 5 June - Underwater cinema for all audiences
For the second consecutive year, CIMASUB disembarks in Tenerife with two intense days of screenings. On Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 June, the auditorium of the TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will be the venue for the sessions open to the general public. Both will start at 18:30 h, and will feature a careful selection of the best short films and documentaries presented at the last edition of the festival. You can see here the special screening programme for the Cimasub de Tenerife.
In addition, on the morning of 4 June, the Teatro Leal in La Laguna will host a special session aimed at schoolchildren, an educational activity designed to raise environmental awareness among young people through spectacular underwater images and conservation messages.
Bilbao, 9th June - Participation in the project "Attention, don't crush me!
On Sunday 9 June, CIMASUB will be taking part in the final event of the project "Attention! Don't crush me! - Kontuz! Ez nazazu zapaldu!", an initiative that promotes respect for biodiversity in urban and coastal environments.
The event will be held at the Bizkaia Aretoa of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao, where some of our most outstanding short films will be screened as part of a day that brings together science, education and audiovisual art in defence of the environment.
